Jesus invites us into a colourful life. A life full of His peace. A life in His presence.
6-10 Jesus told this simple story, but they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep. All those others are up to no good—sheep stealers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
Worship is the ultimate invitation into the throne room where Jesus sits at the righ thand. Through the Holy Spirit we can come freely, without barriers right into His presence. In our humanness we often forget this incredible ability we have, we often allow ourselves to get distracted in worship. Do not grow discouraged, like anything, we must train ourselves to stir up everything in us to praise the Lord.
When I come to worship I make a very conscious effort to forgot the current stresses, because in His kingdom, He is in control. I forget my shame, because in His kingdom I am free from my shame.
