A vessel of Worship

June 23, 2015

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5

“Instead be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns and songs from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:18b-20

Put off the old self, put on the new self, a vessel of worship, just as Christ loved and gave himself up as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God, so must I. A life, which worships and glorifies the Father. Be expectant of the Spirit, always looking for its movement, discerning its path. Be filled with its power, authority and presence. Jesus in me. Allow it to lead me to speak to others, building them up and spurring them on with songs, which are from the past, songs which they have beautiful memories of. Not because of the words but because of what God was doing amongst them.

May I encourage them with songs of the present, songs that have come out of the current movement of the Spirit, written for this time and this place. Songs that declare truths which will push back and damage the enemy, songs that lift their eyes from what is occurring on earth to the things of heaven. And may I sing over them songs of the Spirit, as if from the Father’s lips. Bursting out from the deep, as it calls to deep.

We are spiritual beings, we were created to be whole, to be worshippers. We were created to magnify the Father in all His glory. May our worship place Him in the place of honour, may it bring healing to the souls of those who are broken, may it be the declaration of our intention to march forward for the advancement of His Kingdom and may it send the enemy scared from our midst.

May it come from my heart, the place where our will is formed, may it reflect God’s heart. May it come from my soul, the place which is me. The place where the blueprint of me was first placed. The place that is only His. May it come from my mind, every part of it focussed on this one task, on heavenly things and not earthly things. May it come from, and may it take all of my strength. I will not rest until His Bride stands before the Bridegroom and He is well pleased. And even then may I worship.

In the name of Jesus we worship, in the name of Jesus we have authority, in His name we are enabled, made pure, transformed and make haste to see His Kingdom come.

Thankyou Lord, may I ever praise you with my tongue and with my life. A vessel of Worship.
